Couple of months after the report that hinted Samsung would launch its Tizen-based smartphone this month in India, a user agent (UA) profile of a handset with the same tipped model name has surfaced online.
The Samsung SM-Z130H UA profile reveals the handset to run on Tizen 2.3 version, and be powered by a 1.2GHz CPU with 32-bit ARMv7 architecture coupled with 512MB of RAM. Samsung browser 2.0.34 is also included in the smartphone.
The handset is also listed to sport a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixel) resolution display with a pixel density of 288ppi. The UA profile also suggests the entry-level Samsung SM-Z130H smartphone will feature a 3.2-megapixel rear camera.
The pricing and availability of the anticipated Tizen-powered Samsung smartphone is not yet known. However Gizmobic which first spotted the UA profile of the Samsung SM-Z130H, suggests that the handset is likely to launch in India this month.
Notably, Samsung launched its Tizen-powered Samsung Z smartphone back in June this year. However, in July, Samsung had indefinitely postponed the the rollout of the smartphone.
The Samsung Z, which has been specifically developed by Samsung to run on the Tizen platform, was to go on sale in Russia in the third quarter of this year before reaching other markets. The Samsung Z is a single SIM device which runs Tizen 2.2.1 OS out-of-the-box. It comes with a 4.8-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display; 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB); 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor; 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2600mAh battery.
