Panasonic Eluga S ‘selfie’ phone launched at Rs 11,190

NEW DELHI: Expanding its new Eluga series, Panasonic has launched a new selfie-focused smartphone, Eluga S, at Rs 11,190. The phone will be available starting third week of November.

The phone sports a 5-inch (720X1080p) IPS HD display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek 'True octa-core' processor and 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage and supports microSD card slots of up to 32GB for expansion. The phone has a 2100mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Panasonic's Fit Home UI which, as per the company facilitates single hand operation. It comes with software features such as Kwik Lock( double tap to unlock), Pop-i player, Music cafe and Gesture control.

Eluga S also features Blink Play feature that activates the camera shutter of the front camera when the user blinks. The phone initiates the automatic three-second countdown when it detects a blink.

Pansnic Eluga S sports an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus, support for HD recording and LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie fans.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim phone offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The phone has a 7.9mm thin unibody form factor and will be available in black and white colour variants with stitched leather finish at the back. Panasonic will also offer a flip cover and a screen guard with the phone.

Beluga S is the third phone in the Eluga series. Eluga U and Eluga A are available at Rs 18,990 and Rs 9,490, respectively.
