"Taking a breather from all the work on L (aka Lollipop), we snuck in
another M release yesterday against the CM 11.0 (KitKat) branch. This
release is less heavy on features, instead focusing on stability for
various device trees and security fixes," said the company on the

The new CM11 M12 series is said to fix the last month's POODLE vulnerability found in SSL (Secure Socket Layer) v3 protocol of most Internet browsers. This vulnerability gives leeway for network attackers to cause connection failures and they can trigger the use of SSL 3.0 and then exploit this issue to steal sensitive data.
