BlackBerry Classic smartphone will be launched in December: Reports

Available for pre-order right now, the BlackBerry Classic was only revealed to be destined for a mid-December release, but its makers have now made it clear that it will be out particularly on December 17. This upcoming smartphone grabs a physical keyboard, and comes equipped with the latest version of the company’s BB 10 OS.
It is all set to join the Passport in the latest crop of handsets coming out of the Canadian manufacturer’s foundries. Interested parties from a number of different markets from around the world can pre-order the phone at an equivalent of around $449 in their currencies. There’s no word out at the moment regarding when the BlackBerry Classic will be making its way into India however.

This news about the exact release date of the BlackBerry Classic has come via MobileSyrup which has been informed about it by the compnay’s CEO himself. According to him, New York, Singapore and Frankfurt will be the first markets to get it.

This phone gets its name owing to the fact that it houses on it the classic trackpad which Blackberry’s yesteryear devices used to carry. It features a physical keyboard as well as a touchscreen display, just like the Passport.
