Apple iPhone 6 Plus 128GB version to be priced Rs80K in
India. iPhone 6 16GB will come for Rs 53500 and 16GB iPhone 6 Plus will
come for Rs 62500
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus India launch date and price have finally been leaked. Now we can safely say that the new Apple handset iPhone 6 will be up for sale here in the Indian market by October 17. Earlier there were reports that the Cupertino based Apple may not be able to introduce is new handsets before November.
But as the demand for the two handsets stabilize, it becomes clear that the company can safely manage to introduce the handsets in the second most populated nation in the world, India. It must be kept in mind that compared to Chinese market the demand for iPhones in India are miniscule.
While Chinese markets get tens of millions iPhones sold, in the Indian market it is in a few hundred thousand units. And that too older version are more popular in the Indian market compared to new versions. This may be multiple reasons. But the most important reason is the fact that for most people these handsets are too costly to go for and so they tend to go for older versions that are obviously more affordable.
Meanwhile the price for the two Apple handsets are now leaked. While iPhone 6 16GB version will be available for Rs. 53,500, the bigger iPhone version with the 5.5-inch display, iPhone 6 Plus will start at Rs. 62,500. Apple authorised dealers are already sending emails announcing release date and price of the two handsets.
But versions with higher storage will come at far higher priced. 64GB and 128GB 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will come for Rs. 62,500 and Rs. 71,500 respectively. The iPhone 6 Plus will cost Rs. 71,500 for the 64GB and 128 GB version will come for a staggering Rs. 80,500.
