Indian mobile makers, Micromax and Spice will be rolling out android 5.1 Lollipop updates to their android smartphones. Micromax will update its Micromax Canvas A1 with Lollipop 5.1 while Spice is going to update its Dream Uno with the new update.
The confirmation about the updates came through Spice's Facebook page that read: "Your rocking weekend starts...Spice rolls out Lollipop 5.1 update for Spice Dream Uno users. Check NOW!"
Similarly Micromax said that Canvas A1 users can follow to install Android 5.1 Lollipop on their handsets.
"Canvas A1 with Android One should at least have 30 percent battery to install the OS. Users would have to connect to a Wi-Fi network, check for system updates under the handset's Settings option, and download/ install the package if available," the company said.
However, both the companies have not yet mentioned what changes the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update will bring to these smartphones. Some of the highlights of the Android 5.1 Lollipop that we know are-easy handling of Wi-Fi toggles and Bluetooth from Quick Settings, fix for random app crashes, improved security in case the smartphone has been stolen or is lost.
